Angelo Mangiarotti (1921–2012) was an Italian architect and designer central to postwar Italian modernism. Known for his sculptural use of marble and industrial materials, Mangiarotti combined engineering precision with minimalist form.
Best recognized for the Eros marble table (Skipper, 1971) and modular designs for brands such as Bernini, he pioneered gravity-fit construction that eliminated hardware in favor of structural clarity. Original Angelo Mangiarotti furniture is highly collectible for its craftsmanship, architectural balance, and enduring role in mid-century Italian design.
