Wood and Leather Backgammon Set
This vintage portable Gucci backgammon set is a handsome throwback for any interior. Massive scale. Double the size of other vintage Gucci backgammon sets. Resembling a suitcase, the deep brown leather exterior opens to reveal a Walnut game board/playing surface. 15 white and 15 black backgammon pips are all present and in perfect condition. Two die, one doubling cube and two leather shakers/cups. Green felt inset in great condition. Front of the case features the iconic green and red Gucci ribboning, secured by brass hardware and inlaid in the leather. One of the points has a faded pink stain, as visible in photos. Condition is good overall, with little wear to the wood and leather. Perfect for use or display. A wonderful piece of Gucci history, and a very uncommon set.
Playing surface is 18"x28".
