Gorgeous oak cabinet by Edward Wormley for Dunbar. Made in the 1950s and still a beautiful and practical piece today. Newly refinished in a cerused Oak, making the wood maintain its natural texture but with a lighter tone. Black leather wraps beautifully around the plinth base.

Edward Wormley
b. 1907
Edward Wormley was a prominent American furniture designer known for his influential contributions to mid-century modern design. Born in Illinois, Wormley studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In 1930, he joined the prestigious furniture manufacturer Dunbar, where he became the design director and worked for over three decades. Wormley's work is characterized by a seamless integration of traditional and modern aesthetics, resulting in timeless and elegant furniture pieces that remain highly regarded in the world of design.
