A striking pair of vintage black lacquered side tables by French designer Jacques Adnet. Featuring an elegant faux bamboo frame design and two-tier construction atop a 3 legged base with brass ball feet. Entire table rotates 360 degrees on the tripod base. The lower shelf offers additional display or storage space for books, decorative objects, or lighting. Both tables have both shelves lined in leather. One of the two tables has leather trim along both tiers while the other table is metal.

Finished in a rich satin black with subtle distressed detailing and brass hardware, these versatile tables make exceptional bedside tables, end tables, or accent pieces in a living room or study. b. 1900
Jacques Adnet, born on the 20th of April 1900, was a French art deco modernist designer, architect and interior designer. As one of the Godfathers of modern French design his pieces have become highly sought after and collectible pieces which grace most major furniture collections around the world. He believed in the functional aspect of furniture combined with geometrical simplicity. From 1928 to 1960, he directed La Compagnie des Arts Francais during which time he partnered with Hermès to produce a collection of leather-covered furniture and accessories. Known for his mastery in incorporating precious woods, metal and leather into simple, elevated and timeless designs which would stand the test of time.
