Overview

An exquisite example of mid-century French modernism, this tiered side table was designed by the legendary Jacques Adnet during the 1950s. Bridging the gap between Art Deco luxury and sleek post-war functionalism, this piece exemplifies Adnet’s masterful ability to elevate industrial materials through haute couture craftsmanship. The table features an iron core structure meticulously wrapped in rich, oxblood-red leather. The seams display Adnet’s iconic, contrasting cream-colored saddle stitching—a signature element born from his historic, decade-long collaboration with the luxury house Hermès. Two tiers of thick, pristine clear glass shelves are seamlessly integrated into the frame, anchored securely by exposed, beautifully patinated solid brass capped screws and support rings. With a compact surface and dual level utility it makes the perfect side table, nightstand, small entry table or as a floating accent. A highly collectable piece of french mid-century modernism.
