Stunning bar cart by French modernist designer, Jacques Adnet. This piece comes completely wrapped in an emerald green leather. Good original condition. Iron frame with 4 wheels which all roll and swivel 360 degrees. Serving cart features two newly made tempered glass shelves with rounded corners. Bottle holder built into the frame on the top shelf can hold 3-4 bottles of liquor. Brass piping on both ends of the cart meant resemble the lyre; an ancient stringed instrument from Greece and the Middle East. Great piece of collectible Adnet.

Jacques Adnet
b. 1900
Jacques Adnet, born on the 20th of April 1900, was a French art deco modernist designer, architect and interior designer. As one of the Godfathers of modern French design his pieces have become highly sought after and collectible pieces which grace most major furniture collections around the world. He believed in the functional aspect of furniture combined with geometrical simplicity. From 1928 to 1960, he directed La Compagnie des Arts Francais during which time he partnered with Hermès to produce a collection of leather-covered furniture and accessories. Known for his mastery in incorporating precious woods, metal and leather into simple, elevated and timeless designs which would stand the test of time.
