Overview

This one's for the basketball lover in your life. An original signed oil painting of "The Glove" Gary Payton, player for the Seattle SuperSonics. One of the NBA's best point guards, winner of the 1996 Defensive Player of the Year award, and 9-time selection for the league's All-Star teams: Payton was known for his unmatched defensive skills, and quickly became the face of the Sonics' franchise in the '90s.

This painting is an original work by the artist Eric Black. With careful brushstrokes and color blocking, Payton emerges from the canvas donning the Sonics' quintessential '90s jersey, featuring the iconic orbiting basketball. With the ball between his outstretched hands, a hardy expression, and his right leg in the air, Payton plays toe-to-toe against Dennis Rodman of the Chicago Bulls. The color blocking in the background is a motif of the court and stadium. Overall in great condition. The canvas has been removed from its original stretching bars, so it may be re-stretched or framed. Signed Eric Black, 1996.
