Osvaldo Borsani (1911–1985) was an influential Italian architect and designer known for blending modernist principles with refined craftsmanship and technological innovation. A key figure in 20th-century Italian design, Borsani co-founded the furniture company Tecno in 1953 with his twin brother, which became renowned for its elegant, functional office and domestic furnishings. His work often reflected a deep understanding of both art and engineering, creating pieces that balanced aesthetics with industrial production. Among his most iconic designs is the P40 adjustable lounge chair, which epitomizes his focus on adaptability and user-centered design. Borsani's legacy continues to shape contemporary furniture design, reflecting Italy’s mid-century design renaissance.
