Extremely rare and unique tripod pine needle table with 5 matching tripod stools. Beautiful set that is made in a style that requires painstaking attention to detail and time to make. Each fiber on the table or stools is an individual pine needle that has been dried and interwoven with other needles in order to create the texture and design you see. Originally a Native American art, Native Americans collected pine needles from long-leaf pine trees and used the needles to braid baskets and other items. This craft is also found in parts of Mexico where Indigenous tribes still make baskets and bowls from pine needles. The inner frame of the table and stools is made of metal tubes and the pine needles are fastened at the seams underneath by a thin rope. Low profile set with amazing presence. Perfect for indoor use or in a covered patio. Pine needles are woven flat in a swirl pattern on the top of the table and stools. Eye catching set adding tremendous personality to your space.
