Fantastic Pierre Jeanneret easy chair. Model PJ-SI-29-A. Solid teak chair with compass style legs, cane seat, and cane seat back. Hand stenciling on the back of chair reads : Ch.L.(P)-063 and Ch.L.(P)-033 respectively. This chair came directly from India, and has never hit the open market for sale. Stenciling on chair designates the location of the chair in Chandigarh. Made for the administrative buildings and university residences in Sector 14. Have all photos from before and after careful restoration. Restoration performed by artisans in India that specialize in Pierre Jeanneret. New cushion and cane.

b. 1896
Pierre Jeanneret was a swiss architect who worked closely with his cousin, Charles-Edouard Jeanneret (known by the pseudonym Le Corbusier. They set up a studio together in 1922 and worked closely with Charlotte Perriand at their studio Rue de Sevres for 10 years (1927-1937). Jeanneret is most well known for his designing of the buildings and furnishings of Chandigarh, India. Jeanneret died in 1967 and his ashes were scattered in a lake in Chandigarh.
