The word - OFFICE - stenciled on years ago designating it to one of the buildings. One of the most iconic pieces of modern design. Dark green leather top. Single pull out drawer on front left. Pierre Jeanneret
b. 1896
Pierre Jeanneret was a swiss architect who worked closely with his cousin, Charles-Edouard Jeanneret (known by the pseudonym Le Corbusier. They set up a studio together in 1922 and worked closely with Charlotte Perriand at their studio Rue de Sevres for 10 years (1927-1937). Jeanneret is most well known for his designing of the buildings and furnishings of Chandigarh, India. Jeanneret died in 1967 and his ashes were scattered in a lake in Chandigarh.
