Handsome mahogany dresser by Edward Wormley for Dunbar. Two shelves flank each side with 5 drawers running down the middle. 2 thick wave panels on the front of the dresser form sliding doors which give you the option to see the dresser with exposed shelves and the doors in the middle or to see exposed drawers with the doors on the sides. The bottom of cabinet is a plinth base wrapped in black leather. Versatile and practical dressers which have only gotten more relevant in today's modern home. Great condition with some wear as shown. Newly refinished wood.

Edward Wormley
b. 1907
Edward Wormley was a prominent American furniture designer known for his influential contributions to mid-century modern design. Born in Illinois, Wormley studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In 1930, he joined the prestigious furniture manufacturer Dunbar, where he became the design director and worked for over three decades. Wormley's work is characterized by a seamless integration of traditional and modern aesthetics, resulting in timeless and elegant furniture pieces that remain highly regarded in the world of design.
