Overview

Beautiful teak bench titled the King Bench X Leg designed by Pierre Jeanneret for Chandigarh. Imported from India with care and fully restored from the 1950s. This particular bench is special, as it has a marking on the side that reads "ZOO-61." This marking means that this bench was slated to be sent to the local zoo in Chandigarh - adding a playful touch to this elegant piece.

The bench has a long, rectangular seating section covered by a handmade cushion that doesn't take away from the natural beauty of the piece. When the cushion is removed, one can see the intricacy and detail put in by the artisans who made it. Weaved cane covers all three seating columns, creating a sturdy seating area. Connected on the bottom by two long bars that span across and connect in an X formation to hold the sides of the bench up.

Timeless piece of functional art that would look great in a bedroom, office, living room, foyer, or anywhere in the home where a touch of classic beauty is needed. Gorgeous texture and dimensions throughout.
