Stunning chair by French designer Jacques Adnet. Black metal tube frame with leather seat, leather seat back and leather wrapped armrests. Chair features a beautiful wing loop armrest design with an additional iron handle on the backrest secured to the chair by 2 brass caps. Amazing original condition to frame and leather on the seat and armrests with incredible patina. The distressed leather of the seat and armrests contrasts elegantly with the black leather backrest. 26.5" armrest height. Very comfortable. Gorgeous standalone chair. Only one available.

Jacques Adnet
b. 1900
Jacques Adnet, born on the 20th of April 1900, was a French art deco modernist designer, architect and interior designer. As one of the Godfathers of modern French design his pieces have become highly sought after and collectible pieces which grace most major furniture collections around the world. He believed in the functional aspect of furniture combined with geometrical simplicity. From 1928 to 1960, he directed La Compagnie des Arts Francais during which time he partnered with Hermès to produce a collection of leather-covered furniture and accessories. Known for his mastery in incorporating precious woods, metal and leather into simple, elevated and timeless designs which would stand the test of time.
