Incredible outdoor table and chairs set consisting of four chairs with a matching table, all made of solid concrete in Switzerland, circa 1960s. The seats of the chairs as well as the table top are hand painted in a medium gloss grey paint with the body and base painted in a contrasting matte brown. Chairs feature a round saucer seat with a conical base whereas the table has a round table top with an hourglass shaped plinth base. The body of each piece is also made of a coarse concrete with ridges and waves while the seats and table top are made of a smooth concrete for comfort and practicality. This also allows the body and base of these pieces to accumulate patina while the table top and seats rebuff more natural elements. The table top fits snuggly into its base by way of a concrete dowel that is inserted into a recess at the top of the pedestal. The table top can also be removed from the base if desired by lifting it straight up out of the stand making it easier to move. Incredible modern design with very light patina. Factory drilled holes in each chair for water to drain. Great sculptural pieces. Perfect for indoors or outside. Wear as shown
