Jacques Adnet leather side table with glass top and swivel drawer. The entire table is wrapped in black leather with signature Adnet contrast stitching. Drawer swivels easily 180 degrees away from table and then tucks in perfectly once closed under a glass tabletop. Original leather drawer organizer tray in the drawer with brass pull ring. Brass capped feet. Originally designed for the Martinez Hotel in Cannes, 1950. Excellent condition.

Jacques Adnet
b. 1900
Jacques Adnet, born on the 20th of April 1900, was a French art deco modernist designer, architect and interior designer. As one of the Godfathers of modern French design his pieces have become highly sought after and collectible pieces which grace most major furniture collections around the world. He believed in the functional aspect of furniture combined with geometrical simplicity. From 1928 to 1960, he directed La Compagnie des Arts Francais during which time he partnered with Hermès to produce a collection of leather-covered furniture and accessories. Known for his mastery in incorporating precious woods, metal and leather into simple, elevated and timeless designs which would stand the test of time.
