Sleek chaise lounge chair by Olivier Mourgue. Black fabric in good vintage condition with some light fading. Presents extremely well. Great piece of usable art. Original Arconas label at the foot. Extremely comfortable.

Small tear at the hip as shown as well as residue from a label on the base.

b. 1939

Olivier Mourge is a French artist and furniture designer born in Paris, France. Most known for this Djinn Chair featured in Stanley Kubrik's 1968 film, 2001 : A Space Odyssey. Many of his designs were manufactured by Airborne International which is no longer in business. His work is highly sought after by collectors. Great minimalist design with slender lines and unique shapes.
